SUPPLIERS PARTNERSHIP SUMMIT – STRENGTHENING PARTNERSHIPS FOR PROJECT SUCCESS

As part of Deepak’s commitment to excellence in project execution, DCTL organised a dedicated Suppliers Partnership Summit during the year to engage with our key supply chain partners involved in our ongoing projects. The objective of the meet was to foster collaboration, enhance alignment on project timelines, safety protocols, and quality expectations, and to reinforce our belief that suppliers are not just vendors, but critical stakeholders in our growth journey. The session facilitated open dialogue on challenges, expectations and opportunities to improve efficiencies and drive timely execution.

The participation and active involvement from our supplier community reaffirms our shared vision of delivering this project with speed, safety, and sustainability. The event also served as a platform to recognise outstanding contributions and encourage continuous improvement and innovation in supply chain practices. We believe that strong partnerships build stronger projects and remain committed to nurturing these relationships for long-term success.

SUPPLY CHAIN GOVERNANCE AND RISK MANAGEMENT

Deepak’s Supply Chain Management (‘SCM’) framework prioritizes factors such as financial stability, supplier risk assessment, geographic location, compliance, product quality, sustainability and supply chain resilience.

We carefully map the demand-supply dynamics, assess supplier market reputation and interact with suppliers to systematically identify, assess and manage risks. Identified risks are periodically evaluated and mitigated by formulating appropriate strategies, including developing new vendors to eliminate reliance on monopolistic suppliers. These risk assessments are carried by our SCM team. We make transparent disclosures about our value chain performance through Business Responsibility and Sustainability Report.

SCM POLICY COMMITMENT

Our policy commitment towards sustainable supply chain is vital to position our vision to be a “Global Strategic Partner of Choice” through collaboration with our widespread global network of suppliers, prioritizing legal and regulatory compliance, ethical behaviour and practices, supplier diversity, and environmental sustainability.

We have formally adopted a Sustainable Procurement Policy that focuses on supply chain integrity and addresses environmental and social aspects throughout the process cycle from sourcing raw materials and services to product disposal and deliveries.

Our Supplier Code of Conduct clearly outlines expectations for supplier partners regarding labour and human rights, health and safety, environmental, integrity and anti-corruption, supplier diversity, trade compliance, data protection and system management processes.

SUPPLIER ENGAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT

Digital Initiatives

  • Software introduced to streamline supplier onboarding
  • Digital initiatives, including auctioning of engineering and packing material, etc. are underway to support suppliers

Supplier Training

  • Provides training and development support in sustainability, safety compliance and emergency response planning to vendors

Payments To Suppliers

ESG-FOCUSED SUPPLY CHAIN PRACTICES

Our ESG and sustainability commitment across the supply chain is driven by our Sustainable Procurement policy. We stringently evaluate and monitor supplier performance on established ESG criteria, standards outlined in the Supplier Code of Conduct and KPIs, such as quality rejection rate, lead time, availability, competitiveness and EcoVadis rating, if available. We have a comprehensive vendor assessment questionnaire encompassing major aspects of business, ethical conduct and ESG.
